Blonde Brownies
Ingredients

1 1/2 cups firmly paced brown sugar
1/2 cup margarine or butter, softened
2 teaspoons vanilla
3 eggs
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup chopped pecans
1 tablespoon powdered sugar

Cooking Instructions

Heat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a 13 x 9 inch pan.

In a large bowl, beat brown sugar and margarine until light and fluffy. Add vanilla and eggs; blend well. Add flour, baking pwder, nutmeg and salt and mix well.
Spread in greased pan. Sprinkle with pecans.

Bake at 350 degrees F. for 18 to 28 minutes or until set and golden brown. Cool completely. Sprinkle with powdered sugar and cut into bars.
