Old Fashioned Banana Bread
This quick bread is moist and nutty just the way you like it.

- 9 x 5 inch loaves

3/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup margarine or butter, softened
2 eggs
1 cup (2 medium) mashed ripe bananas
1/3 cup milk
|
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 cup chopped nuts
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt |
Preheat oven to 350
degrees F. Grease bottom only of a 9 x 5 loaf pan.
In a large bowl, beat sugar and margarine until light and fluffy. Beat
in eggs. Add bananas, milk an vanilla; blending well. In a small bowl,
combine flour, nuts, baking soda and salt; mix well. Add to banana mixture
and stir just until dry ingredients are moistened. Pour into greased pan.
Bake at 350 degrees
F. for 50 to 60 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out
clean. Cool 5 minutes; remove from pan. Cool completely. Wrap tightly
and store in refrigerator.
